Sports Massage
Sports massage is a specialised massage therapy, designed to manage pain, improve range of motion, prevent and treat injuries and help improve alignment. A standard ‘ Maintenance’ massage typically involves Deep Tissue work, alongside Passive Stretching. Techniques such as Trigger Point Therapy, Positional Release, MET, Soft Tissue Release, Connective Tissue Therapy and Transverse Frictions are used to help release restricted areas. We usually see clients on a recurring basis to achieve optimal results. However, some improvement can be made in one booking. Sports massage can be beneficial for all, but particularly for those with muscular or joint pain or stiffness, which can be due to a range of reasons including overuse/injury, poor posture, or remaining in strained positions for long periods of time (e.g. hunched over at work). Please note that this is not a relaxing massage and can be uncomfortable at times, but your body will thank you for it!
