• Each massage style has its own unique benefits, but overall, massage helps relax the body and mind, improve blood flow, regulate the nervous system, increase muscle flexibility and decrease muscular and joint pain.

  • Massage is a safe physical therapy for the body that should not hurt! There are common side effects that occur after a massage, which include aching and/or discomfort for up to 48 hrs after treatment, as well as lethargy for this time period. You may also experience redness of the skin and/or slight bruising during or after massage, which is more typical of deep tissue and sports massage. During your massage, you may find yourself falling asleep, which is completely normal giving the relaxing nature of the treatment! Your therapist will of course wake you when they need to change your position for a treatment or when the service has come to an end. As each individual has differing sensitivity levels and bodily reactions, please do let your therapist know if you are feeling any pain or discomfort, or if you wish to change the pressure, move on to another body part, or pause/stop the treatment altogether.

  • We massage clients with various skin conditions. However, we typically avoid treating areas of skin with either of the following: Eczema, Dermatitis, Acne, Boils, Hives, Thin skin, Blisters. Please do not let this deter you from booking with us, as we are more than happy to treat clients with these conditions, either away from the affected area(s) or including the affected area(s) if a medical professional has advised it is safe to do so. The following skin conditions are totally contraindicated for massage, meaning we are unable to provide our services to anyone with either of these conditions: Open sores, Cuts/Abrasions/Broken skin, Cold sores, Warts, Contagious infections (e.g. Ringworm, Scabies, Meningitis), Bleeding Pimples or Cysts, Unhealed Burns, Varicose veins, Impetigo.

  • We use unscented products on the skin for all treatments. Clients have the option of lotion, massage wax, or grapeseed oil. We do have some scented options if preferable.

  • We accept cash or card payments. You can either pay in full when booking, or pay a deposit and the rest in person when you arrive to your appointment. Please ensure that if you are paying the remainder in person, you either have a contactless form of payment (tap only, no option to enter pin), or cash.

  • Our Wandsworth location is accessible to enter, but there are a few steps down into the waiting area and 1 flight of stairs to access our treatment room above. No lift is available.

  • We accept clients of any age from 5 upwards. Those under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult and have parental/guardian consent to receive treatment.

  • You will be welcomed and guided to our waiting area if you are early, or directly to the treatment room with your therapist. Here, you can hang your jacket and belongings and discuss any requirements, questions or concerns with your therapist. We will quickly confirm that we have the right information regarding your details and medical history and that you are ok to go ahead with the treatment. For some treatments (i.e.) Sports Massage, we will carry out some quick assessments to ensure the correct treatment is provided. The treatment protocol will be explained to you. If necessary, your therapist will then leave the room and allow you to change and get comfortable on the massage table, with the towels provided (we will explain how to cover yourself appropriately). After a few minutes, your therapist will knock to ask if you are ready. You will be given a choice of lighting options and audio too, ensuring a relaxing atmosphere tailored to you. You can also select your preferred medium for the skin (oil, lotion or massage wax). The treatment will then begin!

  • Yes! We are a child friendly environment. However, please be respectful of the clinic as there are other professionals working with clients. Your child is welcome to sit in the treatment room with you whilst you receive your treatment, or they can sit outside the room in the waiting area. However, we do not recommend this if your child is under the age of 6, unable to sit calmly, or otherwise vulnerable. We also would like to kindly remind our guests that we are not responsible for the safety and whereabouts of their children.

  • Yes! We have 2 bathrooms at our Wandsworth location, 1 with toilet and sink, the other with shower and sink.

  • As the UK law states that only midwives and doctors (including those training under supervision) can take sole responsibility for child-bearing women outside of an emergency, all pregnant clients must provide written consent from their GP and/or midwife prior to attending, or on the day of their appointment. This can be in the form of a physical letter, NHS/other medical app message, or an email. This should either be emailed to us or shown to your therapist on the day of your appointment. Failure to provide this consent by the appointment date will result in your appointment being cancelled and you will lose any monies you paid upon booking. To avoid this happening, if you have not yet received confirmation from your GP or midwife by 24 hours before your appointment and do not think it will be ready in time, please let us know and we can re-schedule your booking for a later date. If booking this treatment as a gift for somebody, please still ensure that you or they either send us the letter/message of consent before the appointment, or show it to us on the day.

  • If you cancel your booking at any time up to 24 hours before the appointment, you will get a full refund. However, if you cancel after this point, you will lose your 50% deposit. If you already paid in full, we will refund 50% of your treatment cost. We understand that things happen which are out of our control, so if you do cancel less than 24 hours before your appointment, we encourage you to reschedule instead, to avoid losing your money. You are more than welcome to give your appointment to someone else, but please notify us of this change asap so we can ensure accurate client information.

  • Whilst you can eat and drink before your treatment, we recommend not eating anything heavy beforehand and to just eat a light meal 1-2 hours before your massage. This is to ensure your system has digested everything before your treatment. Please do not drink alcohol before your treatment - your appointment may be cancelled/rescheduled if you do so.

  • We do massage cancer patients, but would advise against Deep Tissue and Sports Massage, so as to not cause any aggravation or pain. We instead recommend our Classic/Swedish massage treatment. Currently, we are unable to offer Manual Lymphatic Drainage to active cancer patients/those with malignant melanomas or undiagnosed lumps.

  • You can ask your therapist to stop at any moment during treatment, for whatever reason. Whether you need a toilet break, to readjust yourself or simply just need a break, your therapist will resume your treatment when you are ready. Please note that the appointment time will not be extended for these reasons, but we are always willing to be flexible where possible. If you wish to stop the treatment altogether, you may also do so. No explanation needed.

  • There is pay and display parking on our road (Old York Rd), the street opposite us (Ebner St), and the street to the left of us (Ferrier St) - which are free before 9.30am and after 4.30pm.

  • Wandsworth Town railway station is no more than a 1 minute walk away from us! Please ignore the 5 minute guide on Google Maps - simply turn right when you exit the station and walk straight, you will see us on the right next to Costa Coffee (the door closest). Please press the buzzer on the left which says ‘London Massage & Movement’.

  • After each appointment, all towels (including client and massage table coverings) are placed in our laundry basket. The massage table and bolsters are sprayed with antibacterial spray and wiped clean. New towels are set out for the next client. The therapist washes and sanitises their hands after and before every appointment and the treatment room is aired out and cleaned every day. Our towels and pillows are laundered and pillow covers are replaced after any client has used them to prevent cross contamination.

  • Deep Tissue massage targets the deep layers of muscles to release tension and provide pain relief. Those with aches and tension in their muscles will benefit from this treatment. Sports massage uses these same deep tissue techniques, but combines other techniques to provide specialised treatment to specific muscles and/or joints. In addition to pain and tension relief, it is effective in improving and maintaining skeletal alignment and range of motion in the joints and muscles, through ongoing treatments. It also includes prevention and treatment of injuries. This treatment is particularly useful for those who participate in sports or frequent exercise, have alignment issues, stiff or painful joints, and muscular pain.

  • We have bottled water available for our clients to take at any point! Hydration is key, especially after a massage treatment. If you are diabetic, please remember to bring an emergency source of sugar (i.e. snacks, juice or glucose tablets), as being massaged could cause your blood sugar to drop. We may have something on hand for you at the time should this happen, but cannot guarantee it.

  • Please let us know if you are going to be more than 10 minutes late, as we may have to reschedule your appointment.

  • Due to the increase of blood volume in a pregnant woman’s body, there is risk of suppressing the circulatory system and/or dislodging a blood clot. For this reason, deep tissue massage is contraindicated for those who are pregnant and we will not perform any deep tissue techniques on such clients.
