Pre- Event Sports Massage
Pre-Event Sports Massage is an invigorating treatment, carried out anywhere between 2 days and 10 minutes before a sporting event or exercise. It enhances physical performance, through increasing suppleness of the muscles and preventing injury, as well as promoting mental clarity. Quick effleurage and petrissage motions are performed, followed by percussive techniques such as beating, cupping and chopping of the hands against the body. Gentle stretching may also be incorporated to aid in preparing the muscles for physical activity. This is a quick treatment, usually lasting 10-20 minutes and no more than 30 minutes.
